RiD offers informative and, sometimes, interactive content. While visiting the site or using the site, rightsindigital.com can, therefore, acquire the following types of data:

  • personal data that do not fall into the special categories of personal data as defined in art. 9 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (Regulation).

The processing of such data takes place lawfully on the basis of the purposes, for the duration and on the legal bases indicated below.

Like all websites, RiD acquires some personal data implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained as an answer, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other parameters involving the users’ operating system and their IT environment.

The data is stored for 60 days, except in the case of any need to ascertain crimes.

The processing operations carried out for these purposes are necessary for the functioning of the site and to ascertain responsibility in case of computer crimes or acts of damage to the site. They do not require specific consent from the person concerned.




The request for services or access to content offered by the site (e.g. request to receive newsletters, promotional material and information or to leave comments) requires the processing of personal data provided by the user/visitor in an optional, explicit and voluntary manner (such as name and address of the applicant).

The duration of the processing is strictly necessary to provide the requested service.

Those data are processed with the explicit consent of the data subject party collected through specific forms and the data subject has the right to withdraw his/her consent at any time. Failure to provide the data will make it impossible to respond to user requests.



Data processing for purposes related to legal obligations or as a result of a justified and lawful request by competent authorities.

The processing in these cases derives from a legal obligation and the provision of this type of data is mandatory.

The processing methods, communication and disclosure

The processing takes place with manual, computer and electronic communication systems, with logic strictly related to the purposes for which they were collected in compliance with the purpose limitation principle, as well as with all the other principles present in Article 5 of Regulation 679 / 2016.

In particular, in compliance with the principles of integrity and confidentiality on the basis of which specific security measures are adopted to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.

There is no automated decision-making process, nor any profiling activity.

RiD offers informative and, at times, interactive contents. It is not an e-commerce site, it does not sell goods or services, and it does not sell personal data.

The data collected is not disclosed or communicated to third parties, except in the cases provided for by law and, in any case, in the manner permitted by them.

The personal data present on the site and the related telematic services are processed by the joint controllers and their staff at their offices, within the scope of their respective functions and in accordance with the instructions received only for the achievement of the purposes indicated in this statement.

Where necessary, the data connected to the site and the newsletters may be processed by the staff of the company that takes care of the servers of RiD, at the company's headquarters, normally located in the European Union or in countries for which the Commission has taken a decision to adequacy of personal data protection.

Rights of the data subject

The data subjects may always exercise the rights establish in CHAPTER III of Regulation and in particular the right to

  • access their personal data (once confirmed that their data are processed by the data controller);

  • obtain rectification and integration of their data;

  • obtain the cancellation of their data;

  • to receive the personal data provided to the data controller in a structured and commonly used format, and to transmit them to another data controller;

  • object to the processing of personal data if there are reasons related to their personal situation;

  • not to be subject to automated decision-making;

  • receive a communication in the event that their data are subject to a serious data breach;

  • withdraw consent to processing at any time;

  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
